Scope

• EBSCOhost enables one to search by specific fields or indexes.
• It does through the use of a limiter called "field codes."
• Field codes enables the search of specific indexes in either citation or full-text documents.
• Field codes are specific to each database (though they share some general ones). Look at the Database Description to find what field codes are avialable for a selected database.

Usage

• Type the two-letter code before your search term(s) in the text box.
  • Examples:
    • To search for articles about the author Chitra Divakaruni, type:
      • su divakaruni chitra
    • To search for articles written by the author Chitra Divakaruni about India type:
      • au divakaruni chitra and su india
• Click the Search button to begin the search.
