Usage

• Searches records that contain either of two or more words or all the words.
• This increases the likely set of results.
• The or operator is particularly useful when you have 2 or more words for the same or relatively same subject
  • Example: horses or ponies

Example

• Searching for records containing horses or cows.
• Records contained in all three sets above (just horses, just cows, or both horses and cows) would satisfy an or search and be included in the results of an or search.

Warning

• Searching for wordss containing horses or cows could exclude articles that have useful information but just happen to have the word cows in them.
